Overall I enjoy the site. It's clean and simple. The only suggestion I would make would be to line things up a little better. Everything seems to be in a good location, but it needs a little bit of detail work yet. I think the picture you put in the top box works extremely well. It fits the space and works well with the color scheme. I might also make the box behind "tonight" a different color to make it stand out and give the color picture under image of the day something to tie into.

The layout of this is pretty nice. The top image is a little too big, but it is a nice picture and the black and white colors compliment the color scheme. The title of the page is a little high up and to the left, it might be nicer centered. The search bar is a real nice touch, I like that. The picture of the day would be nice if it had a little type by it explaining what was going on maybe, or the picture was framed differently...it seems like there is a lot of space. The menu is very clear and usable - search bar for ease of use, events that are local and out of town, easy access to media and information. This is very clear and concise, simple and usable. Great job.
