Web Redesign Mock-ups...

Original Poster Design

  1. Compositionally the fourth one is my favorite. The image works very well and it being cut off at the bottom works to make the piece more dynamic. The only thing is that it says "Inde- pendednt film from" and leaves out the around the world part but I'm sure it's a non-issue since this project was intended to help understand the limits of web design from a compositional sense.

The image of the tree fits well in the third piece and is most effective for adding perspective. The only comment on this is that when placed inside a colored box, the tree seems to be a separate object unrelated to the woman and its use for perspective is a little muted.

  2. I think the fourth iteration of your mockups is the most representative of your original poster design, mostly because it’s the only one that the woman’s camera head gets positioned on top of your content box. Your original design had the woman coming out of the box on the top. I would have liked to see more of this in your designs. You definitely understand the ‘boxed’ design concept for web and your designs reflect the original theme. I’m assuming you are using the blue and pink boxes for web content, try to fill them with at least lorem ipsum filler text. It makes it easier for a client to understand the flow of content on the page.

    Nice job on this :)
